As an avid collector of black pieces of clothing i often feel the need to add something little bit more exciting. It can get quite boring wearing just one color but paired with the right accessories you can instantly give your staples a make over. Especially during the winter time i’m not in the mood wearing colors and I often end up with an all black look which i wear over and over again. It’s definitely not a bad thing being an outfit repeater and somehow creating a personal uniform can be quite cool but expressing your personalitiy and creativity through your outfits is something i always enjoy. I honestly believe that working with less keeps you creative and sets you on a challenge to find new ways to do more with what you have and kind of saves you from constantly craving something new and buying more. In my case i only styled old pieces and simply added new small bits and pieces i purchased over the last few weeks. This vintage Gianni Versace blazer for example is definitely the highlight of this look which inspired me to rock my beloved Overknees again that i rarley wear. To keep everything in place i went for this Chanel inspired belt which i’ve been wearing non stop – over jackets, coat, blazer, knits you name it! Super afordable and great for many styles.

Back in the Day
Withlout a doubt the wonderful season of golden hours and colorful leaves has gone by. With the passing of time some things change and some things stay the same but the older i get the more i realize how quickly life goes by. Looking back i can’t believe that i started this blog 10 years ago as a complete different person. Different priorities, different goals, different skills. Back then I had absolutly no clue what i wanted to do in life and what passion or talent i would discover a long the way because at the beginning of this blog i started at zero. I had absolutely no clue about photography combined with a super embarrassed feeling whenever my pictures were taken in public (i guess i was not the only one at that time). But over the years i’ve learned to enjoy it and to not only get more confident but also develop a certain style when it comes to posing/editing and many more things to list. Blogging is a process and a journey that involves so much more than taking pictures. It's still my personal outlet that I love to fill with memories and stories and I guess that won't change in the next time.

Festive Jumpsuit
Slowly but surely the festive season is fast approaching. Getting invited to parties and dinner events can be exciting but whenever i’m getting ready for another special occasion i’m browsing through my wardrobe way to long. It can be quite frustrating loosing so much time in order to find the perfect look. I’m a big fan of wearing something elegant but super comfortable at the same time. It seems to be superficial but by the end of the day most of us just want to feel put together in an authentic way. This year i’m all about jumpsuits. This safe option is absolutely the choice you can make when you don’t want to fuss around or simply don’t want to wear a dress. For the more dressy occasions i’m often opt for a wide leg option. Either paired with a simple white or black blouse or nothing underneath. In terms of jewellery i love to play with all kinds of statements pieces – usually i tend to wear dainty pieces most of the time but during the month of November & December you will catch me with that extra bling.
So for this shoot i wanted to find a really special place and since i visited my hometown the last few days i finally got the chance to shoot in the nature again. Sometimes i’m all about switching things up and up to find places that makes it even more extraordinary compared to my usual streetstyle shoots. I have to say this is definitely one of the things that keeps me going when it comes to blogging. Experimenting, taking your creativity to the next level and developing a new style. Putting more effort into a shoot and taking pictures from a different angle in a different light brings more joy than doing the same thing over and over again. Because in all honesty it can get quite boring doing the same backround scheme each time. The funny thing is that when i started blogging 9 years ago i always found it too difficult to shoot in my hometown or anything near trees, fields or nature related. But things change and so i am coming to you with a new look that you might consider for your next fancy event.

Go BOLD with Leopard
Last month’s favorite fashion favorites has been definitely everything animal printed. I’ve been digging this trend for many many years but this year it has been super easy to find anything from leopard to snake printed items. Even though it wasn’t my intention to add another piece to my personal collection i couldn’t resist getting this pair of skinny leggings that convinced me in the very first moment. As someone who loves to rock loose fitted pants most of the time it was about time to change things up. Adding black and creme really helped toning down this significant print. It's one of those print that truly works magic on your staple pieces.

Make-Up Routine | Fall Edition
Every other month i find myself adding new products into my daily make up routine. Whilst i love my designer make-up brands there are still a number of brands on the hight streets that i truly recommend and keep buying over and over again. But of course every now and then i’m up for a little I shakeup that not only brings more joy but also gives me the opportunity to share my favorites with you.
With that being said, my core products and every day look are often changing but for now i’m super happy with my current routine. Although i was gifted a few of these products i only share what i truly love.In order to find out more keep scrolling!

Snakeskin Print
Ever since i started this blog i’ve been always a big fan of all kinds of animal prints. For years the most popular one in fashion has been leopard but another bold trend that appears to be blowing up both on and off the runway is snake skin. Sure it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but used in moderation you can easily wear this print in everyday life – and personally i think this print is more chic than the leopard print as you get older. The easiest way to incoporate a new trend or print into your wardrobe is accessories. Without spending to much it’s a great way to see if your up for more.
In my case i opted for a snake skin skirt. In order to tone it down i went for a super simple white shirt and buckle boots that i recently scored at Humanic. I think the key to wear such a bold piece is to keep the rest of you look quite simple and neutral. To top things off i threw on a chocolate brown jacket and put on my favorite hat.

Remember... #Childhood
If there is one place in the world that reminds me of my childhood i would immediately response by saying – Lignano! I don’t know if it’s a austrian/german thing but back in the day i had the best time on the Adriatic coast. Since August tends to be the hottest month of the year Mid-September seems to be the perfect choice when your looking for quite hours at the beach, less crowded spots and pleasent temperatures. Once again, i got invited by my parents to spend some quality time and enjoy a vacation where i can truly recharge my batteries. Compared to the road trip i did over a month ago i finally found real relaxation for a whole week. Since we always bring our own bikes in order to explore something new and the fact that i had to try out my new biker shorts we ended up finding this amazing empty beach where i finally got the chance to shot my look and also captured a few moving pictures which I finally edited ealier today. I have to say i really missed creating such short films for myself. Even though i absolutley enjoy filming for other people i truly love producing something for my own blog and social media channels. Let’s see if the muse is speaking to me again in the near future.

Castello di Miramare
Hello from Italy! We are currently on our way to Verona where we will have 3 more nights before we head to our last stop Follina. Our vacation started in Triest over a week ago where we not only strolled around the city but also took the chance to visit the beautiful and breathtaking Castello di Miramare which is a 19th-century castle on the Gulf of Triest. The best way to get there is definitely by ferry (ride cost € 4,25 each person and takes 40 mins) which provides the best view. Miramare Castle is sourrounded by a flourishing park full of precious botanic species and truly magical when you walk through the park til you get to the former luxurious aristocratic residence of Archduke Maximilian of Austria and his wife Charlotte. Unfortunatley we only had 30 minutes to discover this wonderful place (make sure to check the opening hours) but even that short amount of time was worth the visit – especially when you end your trip with a wonderful dinner right at the habour.

Sennheiser Ambeo Smart Headset | Advertisement
I guess most of you are aware that video content creation became pretty popular over the last few years. Even smart phones convince with their amazing quality but somehow audio has been pretty much kicked to the side of the curb. Knowing how to capture great audio is crucial and as a videographer myself i often have to work with external microphones. Since Sennheiser is known to be the pioner in the audio world i was pretty excited when i got invited to a special event where we invited (talking about fellow bloggers from Vienna) to take the new Sennheiser Ambeo Smart Headset to the streets in order to capture the sights and sounds of the city.
We started our tour at the Hard Rock, plugged in the headset to our I-Phones and got familiar with all the settings. Followed by a short Faxi ride at the ring and got back to the first district where we listened to two street musicians I didn’t expect much but i have to say i was pretty amazed. You can hear everything that is around you so clearly which instantly felt like an extensions of your ears. We then headed to the Naschmarkt, were we walked through the restaurants and got the chance to pick up noises in a different way. Due to the omni-directonal microphones you’ll be able to capture 360 degree audio with the feature of excellent pair of headphones. Pretty impressive if you ask me. To finsih things off we ended up at the Prater for the great finale.
The Ambeo Smart Headset, which is an over ear design, offers all the the functuality you would expect from premium earphones for you iphone or i pad. High Fidelity Listening, Active Noise Cancellation, Transparent Hearing and the ability to take phone calls and operative voice control. The smart headset, which includes two high quality microphones , also offers 3D Audio recording to capture the world around you with stunning 3D emersive sound. You get the power button as well as buttons for volume control, and to pause, play or skip. The long white button allows you to switch from transparent hearing mode, situatiol awarness mode to noise cancellation. I have to say that it's super impressive. Hearing the sound of your city in a much more deeper way pretty much shows that the picture is only half of the story telling.

SUMMER GLOW
As much as i love using different make up products and creating different looks, when summer hits I'm all about that extra glow. In that case I often find myself changing up a few things and adding other products to my beauty routine. Since I've been packing all my stuff for another Italy-Road Trip and planning to take only the essentials with me I thought I could share my current favorite products for summer.
FOUNDATION
Mixing foundations has always been a thing for me. I don’t know why but somehow i love to create my own base. The Touche Éclat All-in-one Glow Foundation by YSL mixed with the Superstay 24h Full Coverage Foundation by Maybelline is definitely my favorite combo at the moment.
CONTOURING
Yes, i’m still into contouring and in that case i always rely on my favorite Studio Skin Shaping Foundation Stick by Smashbox that offers the perfect shade for my skine tone.

A Sunday well spent...
The most important thing to do on a sunday is to relax – especially when work and social events can take up so much time that you often forget to care about yourself. It’s nice to hang out with friends and family but every now and then i’m craving moments where i don’t have to to anything. Enjoiying a full weekend with yourself or your significant other and not having any plans for the weekend may sound a little bit boring but over the years i really appreciated such quality time with my partner in crime without party hopping with friends ever single friday or saturday. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love to go out for drinks but getting better rest and unplug from the day-to-day can be everything. In order to look relaxed as well i often gravitate towards loose and soft pieces. Without the intention mixing two different prints i ended up with this combo that actually felt like i was wearing a pyjama.

Velden Shopping {Advertisement}
When I think back at our wonderful stay in Velden I can honestly say that this lovely spot is the perfec escape from the big city life in order to let your soul relax.
Back in May, while we were shooting our looks for the White Nights Style book, i took the chance to check out some of the most popular shops which are located near the beautiful Wörthersee. Unlike Vienna or Salzburg, Velden has this special holiday vibe that allows you to get in the right shopping mode which not only gets you excited to find special pieces of clothing but it also invites you to enjoy a wonderful day at the lake. Instead of getting overly stressed and overwhelmed – especially when your planning to update your summer wardrobe – Velden offers the right amount of shops that you can easily check out in a day.
If you look for items that you can rock for many season i can highly recommend stopping at the shops by Grüner - one for women one for men. Besides the warm welcome you will find versatile and timeless pieces that you will love for many years. Definitely check out their Onlineshop if your not able to make it to the South of Austria. But for all those people who are trying to find the right destination for a short get away that includes countless options when it comes to enjoying life to the fullest i can suggest coming to Velden and experience the White Side of Life. Velden is definitely a place that has more to offer than you think. It’s truly a hotspot that is definitely worth a visit.

Wella Professionals INVIGO + Giveaway {Advertisement}
Aside from the fact that i used to love experimenting with my hair color and even ended up being super blonde i decided to go back to my natural hair color about 5 years ago. It was probably one of the best decision to fully embrace my natural curls. Ever since then i'm dying my hair with Wella Illumina Color (never change a winning team) at home every other month in order to keep my hair look fresh and vibrant. Of course, it often takes a few hours to get professional results but over the last few weeks my schedule has been so packed that quite frankly i have not been able to make the time. So after postponing my hair color treatments for weeks i luckily got my hands on the new Wella Invigo Series ‚Color Brilliance’. Especially this composition is a highly effective combination of copper-binding molecules, Vitamin E and lime caviar that protects colored hair and preserves ist luminosity. I have to say that over the years i have tried out various products to ensure fast and effective care for my hair that also gives immediate color shine and color protection at the same time but i’ve never experienced such a long period without coloring my hair.
The whole series includes five premium products, most notably the Color Protection Shampoo which gives even fine hair brilliant shine. IN stands for advanced ingredientes, VI for invigorating and GO for fast time off (on the go). Since we all have different hair types and needs women can choose from six specialzed care lines, each containing mor than 76 percent natural or naturally derived ingriedients such as lime caviar, goji berries, cotton or lotus extract. The best part is yet to come! Wella is kindly giving some of my lovely readers the opportunity to experience their magic with a wonderful giveaway. 3 of you get the chance to win a Wella Invigo package that includes 3 products of the Color Brilliance series (Shampoo, Conditioner & Miracle BB Spray). All you have to do is pretty easy. Leave a comment below or send me a dm. The winners will be chosen randomly next week on the 4th of July. Good Luck!

Vintage Love
Back in the day when i was not even living in Vienna i’ve delveloped a major love affair with vintage pieces. Unfortunately i rarley go to visit fleamarkets or vintage shops but i am definitely planning on changing this fact in the upcoming months. Adding a piece with an unknow history to my closet is still one of my favorite things to do. That’s why i’m pretty happy that my boyfriend shares the same passion cause when i stumbeld across this amazing blue shirt at his wardrobe i couldn’t resist wearing it right away followed by compliments i received while showing up at the Austrian Press 2 weeks ago.

The Italian Way of Life
Over 3 months ago i’ve been to Verona for the second time in my life! I have to say that whenever i’m in Italy it always feels like home. Besides my love for the architecture, the language, and the food i am truly a fan of the italian way of life. It’s about taking time for the beautiful things in life. That’s why i decided to take a break from the big city life and come to Salzburg for a couple of days in order toi enjoy the beautiful countryside where i grew up and spend some time with my family! I don’t often get the chance to be super spontanous and visit my hometown on a regular basis but since i realized that a had a little gap til the next job in Vienna i thought – why not. So here i am back where i started my blog more than 8 years ago and taking a little break from my everday life. I am more than happy that i finally found the time ro recharge my batteries and enjoy life without those hectic moments.

City Escape
I can’t believe that it took me over a month to publish these pictures but the month of may was quite a challenge if i do say so myself. I’m super happy with all the amazing projects and job i’vee been able to accomplish but whenever i get the chance to escape from my typical routine i often find myself craving super ordinary things like exploring a few more spots in this beautiful city. I have to say that i’m not a big fan when it comes to hiking but since i come from the countryside i always feel a little bit more home when i walking through nature. Combined with a visit at a Heurigen restaurants there is no need for anything else, I truly love the simplicity which gives you this special feeling that i would definitely love to experience more often!

The White Side of Life
Up until last year, when i got the chance to shoot a bunch of looks for the Velden White Night Style book, i was never the type of girl who ended up wearing white from head to toe. It always seemed to be too bright for my taste but after another lovely stay in Velden 3 weeks ago where i got invited again to shoot a new edition with the title ‚The White Side of life’ (check out right here)for the upcoming Velden White Nights (which will take place on the 6th of July) i once again developed a major love affair with this combos and somehow when wearing light colors it truly boost up your mood. Along with my blogger colleagues Anna from Poschstyle, Raffael from the Lionheaded, Marcel from MarcelWegscheider, Bianca from Sunglasses and Peonies and the lovely model Sanda Gutic we created a bunch of differents outfits to help to inspire for this season and invite you having a wonderful time at the beautiful Wörthersee. Besides the party on Friday i can highly recommend chilling and sunbathing the Beach Club Falkensteiner, taking a boat ride which you can book at the Strandbar or having dinner at the Beach House.
When it comes to my looks i’m obviously all about palazzo pants. It’s such a comfortable piece that instantly looks cool & chic at the same time. Combined with a knotted shirt or a tank top you instantly look put-together. In order to add a little bit more depth i spiced up my look with my all time favorite summer hat that i love to wear to death each year when the temperatues starts to rise. If you are more in to a feminine option you can either opt for a classic white tube dress or more playful boho dress which gives you a little bit more comfort during the day.
Either way, i’m happy to announce that you can win VIP 2x2 tickets to the Velden White Nights party at the lake Wörthersee on the 6th of July which also includes access to the VIP area and special goodies. All you have to is pretty simple. Just follow the Velden White Nights on Instagram and leave a comment down below or on my instagram account and you will participate in today’s give away until the 4th of June. In order to Increase your chances to win and make sure to check out my colleagues (Raffael, Anna, Marcel, Sanda) blogposts. With that being said I wish you good luck and hopefully we will see us at the big party in Carinthia.

Roadtrip Reloaded
So as
you know, i went on an adventure through Tuscany last summer – we went from
Verona to San Gimgnano, visited Siena for one day and ended up in Firenze for
the very last days. This little roadtrip of 9 Days was truly one of a kind and
after thinking about new destinations for 2018 my boyfriend and i decided to do
it all over again. Although there are so many options all over Europe you can
reach by car i have to says that i
always had this special connections with Italy. I was never the type with a
long travel bucket list i was always more into finding a special feeling, an
atmosphere combined with a couple of drinks and lots of laughters. Of course i
not going to repeat the same vacation every year but for now i’m more than
thrilled to experience another road trip in the beginning of August. So since
i’m all about La Dolce Vita i got the chance to shoot this Polka Dot Jumpsuit
inside of a very special car. Obviously it matched my look perfectly and in
order to bring back a little bit more edge i opted for Matrix inspired glasses that i’ve been rocking for a couple of months.

Red Shades
There is no better time than the new season to get yourself a new pair
of cool glasses but when your a creature of habit and found yourself wearing
the same shades over and over again it can be tough finding a new pair. Somehow
i always sticked to round shades which always worked great for my facial
features but being repetitive for years can be quite boring. So since
Matrix-inspired thin sunglasses are having a massive comeback i thought i would
give it a go. Of course, these kind of sunglasses don’t actually serve the
purpose of protecting the eyes from the sun – especially when your wearing them
down on the bridge of your nose but adding a fun accessory to a super basic
look can make your outfit more interesting instantly. No more hiding from the
camera it’s time to put yourself out there.

Daily Make-up Favorites
It’s been a while since i talked about beauty products but since i
changed up a few things when it comes to my every day make up look i thought
it’s time to share what i truly enjoy and probably won't replace anytime soon.
Last year at the Estée Lauder Open House i was gifted this super
tiny Smashbox Cover Shot Matte Eye Palette (Color Matte). Somehow it took me months to get full use out of it but also to realizie that these colors are perfect when i’m travelling. With 6 matte and
two .... i’m able to create any look for any occasion from day to night.
Another favorite product of mine would have to be the new YSL Tatouage
Couture Matte Lip stain. Every since i started using the shade 7 i was
obsessed right away. This little innovative lip stain is exactly what i was
always looking for. This formula gives lips matte tattoo-like color that is
super lightweight and non-drying. Perfect for anyone who’s always struggeling
with matte lipsticks.
YSL Touche Eclat All in One Glow – it’s a tinted moisturizer that truly
stands out. It’s in a suqezzy tube which has an actual pump which is always a
plus. It’s so much more little easier too use and super convinient as well. One
thing i noticed right away was the formula which is almost like a mousse. It
gives you a radiant natural glow with a dewy finish on top.

A Cinderella Moment at the Opera Ball 2018
Last
thursday I had the honor of attending the Vienna Opera Ball for the second time
in my life. As I already mentioned on the blog Humanic invited me to the biggest
event of the year where I was in
charge of their instagram account. I was not only responsible for capturing
beautiful moments of the night but I was also the one who documented their
amazing service for the ladies. As the official shoe partner they had the
brilliant idea to offer women a pair of glittery ballerinas – and let me tell
you, it was widely popular! Of course every woman knows there is nothing more
flattering than a leg-lengthening heel but when the need for comfort is
key and your not able to walk without pain anymore it’s time for a Cinderella
moment and leave your own footwear behind.
But
let’s start at the very beginning. Instead of shooting outside, like I did last
year, I decided to capture my look at the Coco Chanel inspired mirrored
glass stairs at the Park Hyatt Vienna, which leads from the hotel bar to the lobby, smoking salon and
restaurant. Adapted to the dress code (black tie) I went for a floor-length gown in navy blue by the lovely Austrian designer Claus Tyler and
paired it with classic peacock blue pumps by Peter Kaiser - find a similar option here.
In order to get in the right mood i kicked off the evening with a fantastic dinner before i made my way to the Humanic Corner at the Opera Ball. The minute I
arrived I was pretty surprised that even right after the opening ceremony so
many women felt the urge to get their hands on some ballerinas. Even two
debutantes showed up giving me the chance to have a closer look at
their incredible tiaras As usual the hours passed by pretty quickly and before I headed home I took a walk through the Opera in
order to share this special experience via Instastory. It’s so incredible how
much you can actually explore and i can honestly recommend checking out the building to the full whenever you may have the chance to attend the Opera Ball.
Another highlight of the night was definitely to see that this annual event was attended by some 5,000 guests from the worlds of culture, business, academia and politics. It's truly an evening of traditional entertainment that cannot be compared with anything else and that's why many of them danced the night away until the very last minute. But always be prepared and make sure to be equipped with the right tools. Especially when you opt for a special updo that requires extra reinforcement - simply stash a few bobby pins at the bottom of your clutch. I would also suggest packing some safety pins in case of any wardrobe malfunction like popped buttons or broken zips. To extend your little survival kit bring some blotting papers (it just takes out the oil and doesn't affect your make-up) and of course some plasters because sometimes you don't know how much your shoes are going to hurt after you have worn them for a couple of hours. Furthermore i always make sure to stick to one drink for the night instead of mixing everything. Besides the alcoholic drinks i always ask for a glass of tap water to be in control and still have a good time. And last but not least - if you plan to use your smartphone to take pictures and capture memories, portable battery chargers give you ultimate freedom while you're out and about.
So with these things in mind you can definitely extend the night but of course all good things have to come to an end. A Big thank you to Humanic and the Fashionsquad for this amazing opportunity.

Turtleneck Enthusiast
The main clothing item i always wear at this time of the year is 100
percent a turtle neck. Some people absolutely hate the feeling having something
wrapped around their neck but i’m quite the opposite. It’s not only such an
effortless piece that is pretty easy to style but it’s always have been the
epitome of my style. Some things never change and some things do. Which leads me to my current love affair with pointy kitten heels. I never thought that i would became such a fan of this kind of shoes but as i'm getting older and prefer comfort way to much but still love the extra height. So whenever i'm attending a work event, a party or simply walk around the city these kind of models are my go to number one without killing my feet.

In the Mountains
Mid January i had the pleasure to escape from the city and enjoy 4 days
at the beautiful resort Almdorf Seinerzeit. I have to mention that i’ve been
here before but i didn’t know that this place expanded and added so much little houses aka chalets that i was more than happy to experience something
new. It’s such a lovely spot in the mountains with the perfect mix between
fine, true built mountain log cabins and 21st century luxury.
Of course i had to take advantage of this winter wonderland and shot one
of my favorite looks, when it comes to layring up for the cold days, at our
private terrace. Often times it’s hard to find a look that works in this
conditions and looks fashionable at the same time. This time i tried something
new and paired my favorite boots with a grey mid length skirt. To keep me warm
i opted for a layerd look and decided to wear as much as possible under my
biker coat. To top things off i went with a classic fanny bag which is probably
the best choice when you go for a walk in the snow.

The Oversized Leather Jacket
Back to you with a new outfit – you may have seen this one already on my
instagram but in case you missed
it, i also wanted to share all the details here too. I wore this look a few
days ago when all of a sudden the tempartures started to rise and at some point
it felt like spring. It’s so funny how a change of seasons can immediately boost
your mood increase your energy levels and simply promotes pleasure and
motivation – especially when it comes to taking pictures for the blog! I was
happy that i finally got the chance to wear lighter pieces instead of throwing
over a big chunky winter coat. This time i went for this über cool leather
jacket by Tommy Hilfiger which was sent to me a few weeks ago. What makes it so
special is defnitely the shape. A little bit more loose and a few centimeters
longer than my other ones. Compared with this comfortable pants (also from
Tommy Hilfiger) i styled this whole look with my favorite white boots. I never
thought that i would change my opinion on white footwear! Unfortunately the
weather is going crazy again and i probably get to wear this look again by the
end of the month.

Shoe Trends & Do's and Dont's at the Ball
Even though the temperatures are not quite there yet, i’m mentally ready
to start to look at my wardrobe in a different way. Sure, it’s not Spring yet
but as the temperatures become milder it’s definitely not a bad idea thinking
about some changes and new additions when it comes to fashion and accessories.
Something that has got me really excited is definitely shoes! Nobody can
ever have to many pairs and when Humanic invited me to their latest
Spring/Summer 2018 press event which featured the ultimate models for the
upcoming months i couldn’t say no
- and let me tell you – there is something for everybody.
But before i start with the upcoming shoe trends, i’m excited to
announce that Humanic, who's not only the official shoe partner at the Opera Ball and plays the savior for all the ladies by offering women a pair of glittery ballerinas, also invited me to this amazing event where i’m taking over their instagram account and get the chance to show you around. Tomorrow i'm finally revealing the look of the glittery flats on my instagram account - don't miss it. So since the dress code for the ball is super strict (white tie) it’s
definitely a challenge to find the proper attire. Not to mention that there are
definitely a couple of do’s and dont's that you should check before showing up.
First things first - always respect the dresscode for each ball. It’s
super important to choose an outfit that works for you and that enhances your
personal features. Make sure to check some sources of inspirations like
Pinterest or Instagram in order to find something that catches your eye, works
for your body type and that isn’t too short. Another ‚do’ is pretty easy –
arrive in time to see the opening ceremony of the young local debutants.
Speaking of dancing – definitely join at the midnight quadrille dance! I’ve
never practiced it but i had so much fun when i joined it last year.
When it comes to dont’s here are some to consider! If you don’t want to
be labeled as a tourist, don’t arrive in a horse carriage at the ball (i guess that's pretty obvious). Don’t
add a big bag to your dress and opt for a nice bracelet intead of a watch! Talking
about shoes – sandals are absolutely a no-go! There are many options out there (check out the ball collection by Humanic) but opt for closed ones or sling backs (which definitely requires a pedicure). If you don't wear tights make sure to add that 'extra' glow to your legs! And last but not least - don’t miss a traditional Vienna sausage right after the ball. It’s part of the game and the perfect
ending for a night out at the Opera Ball.

Another Year, Another Ballseason!
I guess a lot of you know the fact that at this period of the year
Vienna is transforming into a huge ballroom and offers unforgettable
occasions to dance the night away. As i love to glam up every once in a while i
thought i share my favorite and most importantly easy look that i
would choose for such a night. Over the last few years i tried a bunch of
different looks when it comes to hair. It can be quite difficult achieving a
style that fits to your dress and lasts for hours. One of my favorite look will
always be the classic hollywood waves.
Over the years i got so many question on how to achieve the perfect
curls. One of my secret weapon is definitely mousse. It truly allows for greater
styling control in order to get the best result. It can be used to add texture,
boost volume and create curls or in this case waves. But be aware – always pick
something that suits your hair type (fine, straight or thin hair – choose a
volumizing mousse/ girls with thicker hair will need a lightweight mousse).
The steps are pretty easy - simply apply a handful to your damp hair.
Blowdry upwards to lift your roots if you love to add some volume. After you
hair is completely dry you are ready for the next step – curling your hair. Personally
i use the Remington Pearl Pro Curl Styler which i can highly recommend. One of
the most effective tricks i’ve been doing for years is to let the curl cool
down and set before letting it go. I have to say that i only opt for this
technique when i’m attending a big event and have enough time getting ready. If i really want to get the perfect waves i always secure each curl with
a bobby pin. Once unclipping the curls i always wait for a few minutes before i brush them out. For a maximum hold i always use hairspray. In this case i
always rely on L’Oréal Elnett that i’ve been using for years.
