Without a doubt the transition period between winter and summer is definitely one of my favorite - the air would change and you would start to see flowers here and there. There’s something so magical about it that makes it far more spectacular than the other three and it’s also a great opportunity to not only update wardrobe but also your fragrance collection.
Last
week i was lucky enough to be invited to Paris in order to celebrate the launch
of the new James Bond Fragrance 007forWomen II. We were welcomed at the Hotel Mandarin Oriental which is in the most fashionable part of town right on the Rue St. Honore and next to the flagship Chloé store.
Right at the beginning we
were seperated in two groups and started our day with a presentation of the new
perfume which was hosted by Will Andrews who works as a principal fragrance
scientist at P&G and talked us through the world of perfume. He shared his
passion that goes into creating new scents and finding new methods of capturing
smells – you could truly tell that he follows the concept of ‚doing what you
love’.
To
enjoy the 007-event to the fullest we also got the chance to meet the make-up
arrtist Naomi Donni who’s known for her work on Chocolat, Cinderella but also on
007 James Bond. While she was showing us how to achieve one of her Bond Girl-look
she created in the past she also told us a few funny and interesting stories of
the movie world.
To
top it all off we also met italian actress Caterina Murino who gained
international fame after playing Solange Dimitrios in the 2006 adaptation of
the James Bond novel Casino Royale and is now the face of the 007 Fragrance
for Women which reflect the contradictory characteristics of the women in the
Bond universe. The flacon was cerated with numerous facets providing a
kaleidoscope effect to accentuate the numerous faces of a women. In comparision
to the first edition which embodies a mysterious Bond lady the 007forWomen II
offers a charming daily variation in response to the evening debut. It’s
lighter and opens with a combination of pink pepper, pink freesia, rasberry and
pink champagne – obviously perfect for spring and the perfect option for the
day. So thank you P&G for having me and for this lovely event!
